Except for Volume 4 of Series I, the volumes in Series I and II were digitised for the Biodiversity Heritage Library using material made available by the Natural History Museum, London.

Volume 4 of Series I was made available for digitising by Dumfries Museum and Camera Obscura.

Volumes 1–5 and 9 of Series III were digitised for the Biodiversity Heritage Library using material made available by the Smithsonian Institute, Washington, U,S.A..

Note that these digitised volumes are intended for research and scholarly use only under the terms of the Creative Commons Licence. An appropriate commercial licence would be needed to use the images for commercial purposes.

All the volumes in Series I and II, plus a few from Series III, are available online as digitised images in Adobe pdf format. To access any of these, click on the volume link below. The scanned pages contain hidden text and can therefore be searched when opened in the Adobe Reader, which makes them a very useful research tool.
